Miracle Blade III

You have probably seen at least a few commercials for the Miracle Blade and have wondered if they are as good as the commercial shows or if it is all too good to be true. I mean, if you look at the price of the Miracle Blade sets ( and the one shown today is the Miracle Blade III set - the third version) and compare them to some of the other chef knife sets there can be several hundred dollars difference in the price.

So lets take a look at the Miracle Blade III Perfection Series and see how it stacks up.

The first thing that had surprised me was the price,  as it's just under $20. Now lets be real - an 11 piece cutlery set for under $20?
Yes, really.

The 11 pieces that are included in the set are:  kitchen shears, 4 steak knives, all-purpose slicer, Rock 'n Chop knife, Chop 'n Scoop knife, paring knife,  Miracle Blade slicer,  and the fillet/boning knife.
I would have probably preferred that there was a cleaver or two in the set but Miracle Blade does have a few other sets available which do offer more choices - so it's not a deal breaker.

But what about the sharpness - do they really cut as well as they show on television?
I could tell you yes, they do or no they don't, but that would be just one person's opinion and it wouldn't really give you an overall feel.  To get a good range of opinions and reviews I took a look at the review section for this product over at Amazon - you can jump right to the customer reviews here -->Customer Reviews of the Miracle Blade III Perfection Set

Sure not every review was a 5 out of 5 stars but you will find a good majority of them very pleased with their purchase and over 50% have rated them a 5 out of 5. I
found this quite surprising for such an inexpensive set. Sure there were a few low ratings but that is to be expected. Some of the lower reviews had more to do with the selection of the types of knives included in the set, rather than the quality.

Some also stated that they should have purchased the Miracle Blade block since these knives don't fit in a standard knife block.  Miracle Blade also has sets which include a block (Miracle Blade III 16 Piece Knife and Block Set ) but it is a larger set and does run about $50 more. If you want to stick to your budget and don't want to spend the money on a block just be sure to dry your knives after each use and place them back in their sleeves for protection. When the time comes and you can afford a block - then you can go for it.

Most stated how sharp they were and how the sharp blades help up nicely and would recommend them.

So all in all how did the Miracle Blade III Perfection series stack up?
Well, it is one of the most popular knife sets sold on Amazon ( actually while I am writing this the Miracle Blade III Perfection Series set is the # 1 best selling set) .

So is the Miracle Blade III Series set worth checking out?

If you are looking for a small starter or are adding to your current set, if you want to stick within your budget and can not afford a $250 set of knives, or if you are looking for a low cost, yet practical gift set them the Miracle Blade III Perfection set would be a good choice.
